Today i installed my NEW s300
I have a built NA type r cam 13 to 1 compression b16a in a 89crx si
The car ran with my pwo ecu but had severe detonation off idle and threw part throttle and ran lean on my wideband. I retarded timing and increased fuel enough to break it in 1000 miles.
I just did a obd0 to obd1 swap harness and obd1 distributor.
My laptop connects and says online after installing drivers.
IM running the s300 1.3.1.0
i loaded the stockjdmp30 file that comes with the s300 software, I turned off knock sensor, o2 sensor heater, i uploaded it to the s300 i turned the ignition off and then back on. And tried to start it. IT almost starts but acts like timing is really far off. IT has a code21 VTS VTEC spool.
I would like to get it to run so i can get my wideband working with it and make sure there are no issues before i go to the Dyno with it.
Have i missed a step somewhere? its 40 degrees outside maybe that has something to do with it?

So i got it to run. I ran a new vtec spool wire and shielded o2 wire witch should not have affected it starting or not. i went back over the distributor repin and it is done correctly.
after running for 30 seconds it has a cylinder sensor code. Im thinking the boomslang obd0 to obd1 harness isn't done right. I'm going to go over it and see.
I shut the car off because it was running so rich raw fuel was blowing thru the tailpipe, and i didn't want to ruin my wideband.
