Is a Laptop necessary?

Before I purchase a hondata system is it necessary that I have a laptop for tuning if I tune myself. Or could I use my normal computer that runs windows in my house? I know you would probaly want a laptop for tuning on a dyno...but is it necessary? Thanks

it is not necessary, but you'd have to run in the house and flash the ROM each time...

Hondalogger would also be useless unless you used it while the car was stationary and ran wires from your desktop unit to your hondata unit.
