1 in 4 times after I upload a kal, I get a cel on and immobilezer light and can't crank car. Turn key off and back on and it cranks right up! why?

my ecu has been reprogrammed by acura and enabled immobilezer in uploaded kal.

today, I uploaded my KAL 4 times, and right after, I turn the key off, took the key out, waited 20 seconds, and then put the key back in and cranked it up.. Worked fine... Guess you gotta wait a few seconds after uploads for the ecu to reconize the immboilizer codes.. I dunno

Normally you always need to switch the key off and back on after uploading.

I did that, I am now talking the key out of the car and waiting 5 sec. before putting the key back in and cranking it back up after upload. It has only done it 2 times out of the 20 I have done it now... I wonder if this is a bug...

still happening, and i got another thread talking about this too, its getting annoying... Could it be the chip in my key be faulty at times or my key is dirty?

check your battery voltage

not battery related, i work at acura and just installed a new battery 3 weeks ago and tested the battery yesterday, it was fine..

btw, if it was battery related, an immboli light wouldn't come on..... just a cel for the daughterboard error

ok, so what is the battery voltage when cranking?

around 12 v.... are you thinking its a cel(daughterboard error?) b.c if it is, it will still let you crank the car if it was this cel, but hence its not b/c it won't let you crank up at all... a daughterboard error cel also won't flash the immbobi key light either...

anybody got a reason or solution? And don't say its my battery voltage, b/c my battery is good... and if my battery is low, an immboli will not flash along with a cel on and no code to be pulled either....

Our experience of the daughterboard communication error is that is has been caused by a dead battery, bad connections in the wiring harness or connectors or bad grounds. About 95% of the time the battery is dead or has been relocated. Remember that the voltage at the battery is not the same as what the ECU ends up getting while cranking - the immobilizer light behaviour is not important.

Can you provide a list of all modification to the car and a datalog of the engine cranking?

yeh, but when my cel comes on and immbolizer keeps flash, i tried pulling the cel code and nothing comes up... If it was a daughterboard error code, then it would show up when I pull the codes, right??

And also my immbolizer light should not be flashing constantly on ignit II b/c 1. in my kal, the immboli is enabled, not disabled and 2. my immboli was already reprogrammed to match the ecu/key....

When you guys get a daugherboard error (cel), does the immboli light keep flashing?
