Hondata S300 Installers UK??

Post by Powelly5624 »

Hello,

I have a JDM Civic SiR2 and cannot find anyone willing to install it in my ECU.

I have purchased the correct half size JDM unit and my ECU has previoulsy been socketed and ran a cheapo chip.

I am at a loss as i would like the car on the road before December.

It's in the process of being boosted and need help badly!!

Thanks people. :D

Try posting on a UK local forum - if the ECU has already been socketing then only the socket will need to be switched over, the latch IC should be ok.

Socketing S300 JDM Help

Post by Powelly5624 »

Thanks for the swift reply,

I have tried local forums and tuning companies but none are regulars with Hondata

I will double check the socket in the ECU, will changing the socket be difficult?

Thanks again.

That all depends on your soldering/desoldering skills.

I'm in Exactly the same boat. EG6 SiR2, no-one i have spoken to is willing to attempt installing it.

How did your install go? Did you find someone to install it?

Does anyone know if there any DIY threads that have step by step pictures??
That's what I really need so i can do it myself.

and the pack of resistors and chips, etc that came in the box...which one's the resistor and which one's the jumper?
Does it matter which way they're soldered in? I need to know all this information as the installation guide is very brief, with one unlabelled pic.

HELP lol
