05-06 RSX Kpro different than 02-04 ?

My friend is parting out his car (05 RSX-S) and wants to sell me his Kpro, but I heard that it will not work correctly on my 04 RSX-S. Is this correct? If so can I send it in and get it reconfigured and whats the cost on that ? thanks in advance

I thought the kpro was the same... since it's an '02-'04 ecu...

The VSS on the 02-04 transmission is different from the 05-06 VSS.
If your friend is willing to give you his transmission, and engine harness, it should work I believe.

No it will not work properly. It will be $250 for us to convert it back to be used with an 02-04 vehicle. I would suggest selling what you have to an 05-06 owner and just buying a K-Pro and using your ECU.

What is the actual difference?
