P06 for obd1 D16a6?

Post by ocdrummer »

I did a quick search already. . .

I'm building a turbo D16a6. I'm converting to obd1. Is the P06 the correct ECU to use?

S200 should be fine for this application right? No need to use S300?

Thanks!

You can use that ecu. You may have problems with a distributor as there is no obd1 that bolts up to your head.

I would recommend the s300 if you do end up going OBD1 as it is user adjustable and much easier to use. The s200 is only tunable by a dealer.

Thanks for the reply!

I'm fairly certain that the single cam non-vtec distributor from the EG's will bolt up to the A6, right?

I'll actually be having it tuned at Church.

The basic point of me asking about this is to confirm that the P06 is ok, and I can avoid paying the inflated prices of the P28. lol
