no start, s300, freshly rebuilt engine. HELP!

Post by jayjay6611 »

b16 engine 9:1 comp. New internals, obd1 conversion, Wiring has been rechecked, Fuel pressure set to 42 psi running mitsubishi evo 560cc injectors (resistor box) motorola 2.5bar map. running stock p30 map on s300/p28 ecu in 91 civic.

Crank engine, fires up for a split second, rpm goes to about 325 on the datalog and dies, plugs are wet, and I am getting spark, compression ~160 dry across the board. I set the fuel trim for 560cc injectors.
I'm very worried about washing out my rings and ruining this brand new engine. I have no other car to try the ecu in and the only stock part I have left to swap would be the stock map sensor.
Someone please help me before i ruin my engine.

car started,
I reset my injector scaling for 620cc
took about 30% fuel out across the board and reinstalled the stock map sensor just in case.
now it actually runs great, but that fuel trim had to be adjusted big time.
now off to the dyno.

I would suggest getting a wideband O2 and fine tune your fuel settings, I never got my engine running perfectly smooth untill I installed an O2 wideband.
