Only Honda/Acura dealers can reprogram the immobilizer. What people have done in the past is drive to a Honda/Acura dealer, swap ECUs, then get the immobilizer reprogrammed. Call the dealer first and check that they are willing to do this, and ask what they will charge. We have instructions for the dealer if they do not know how to reprogram the immobilizer http://www.hondata.com/immobilizer.html

changing ECU from one SI to another
What if I had a damaged ECU?
Are you sure I cannot put a reflashed 06 or 07 SI ECU on another 07 SI?
Even with the imobilizer reprogramed?
Is it possible to change standard ECUs, or this is not a problem of being or not reflashed?
I live in Brazil and I (and a lot of others SI owners) am looking for a reflash, also in order to try to be free from the disgusting rev hang, and I?m dreaming of having the vtec at 4500 rpm, much more reasonable - don?t like the kick - I like progressive, strong power.
And a friend of mine said it would be possible to buy an USA reflashed ECU and just change it here.
thanks, Clythio van Buggenhout
