soon to be virgin to s300 need some help

i plan on buying this unit next week, what is the first thing i have to do to get it working? i have an lc-1 wideband now, i have now clue on how to start tunning this thing the nearest tunner is 4 hours away, that why im buying this unit so i can street tune it myself. i've been reading for about 5 hours on the s300 any help would be great thanks
