i searched and found another guy asking if it will work on his dell pda and the answer was, that it has to be on windows xp. was just wondering if this has changed, cause i know it runs fine on vista when its only made for xp. i want to be able to buy and use a pda rather than my laptop if possible.

what is it that will keep it from working? is it just the fact that it is windows mobile? and not xp?

The more appropriate answer would probably be that this is not currently offerred/supported. 'Cause it is completely doable :)
Hondata - has there been any thought to publishing the protocol that you use to talk between the laptop and ecu? Is the format of the .kal files currently available?

The main problem is that PDAs have a USB client port, not a USB host port, so cannot talk with the ECU.
We will not publish the USB command set because of pirarcy.

I'm not sure that I follow the piracy statement. The software is given away for free. its useless without having already purchased k-pro for the ecu.

Ok, copyright infringement. In the past, parts of our intellectual property have been illegally incorporated into other software. Releasing the USB command set will aid the parties actively involved with copying our systems.
