S. term fuel trim vs. misfire question, how does it relate?

Post by joejoe3 »

I'm having some misfiring issues under cruise conditions. It's random misfire, and sometimes involve cylinder #1,2,3,4 as well.

I did some reasearch on the board, so how does S. Term fuel trim play an effect on misfiring under load (*during cruise)?

I see that you can fix these lean misfires by adding fuel, but at what conditions do you know it's time to add fuel?

You should be looking at the lambda readings and tuning your AF accordingly. If you get misfires from running too lean, add fuel to the needed areas.

So I should do a cruise datalog and then use lambda overlay to increase fuel where the blocks suggest?
