Basically, the question is this: Will a properly dyno tuned Kpro make significantly more power with mild mods (CAI, ITR exhaust manifold/cat and catback exhaust) than the reflash on an '05? Ok, take the same Kpro and run it with just street tuning off one of the base maps compared to the reflash. Reason I asked is that I picked up a used Kpro for my '05 and have been tinkering with it for a week or so now. I've read quite a bit about street tuning and have probably spent a lot more time than I should've over the past week (or so my wife says) tweaking the 2005 CAI calibration to run what I would consider "decently". I've been able to achieve a reasonably stable 12.8-13.2 A/F ratio during 3rd gear runs with 0-2 knocks, which if they do occur, are up over 7500+ RPM (not sure they're even real knocks). I definitely feel significant gains, which I'd estimate in the 10-15 butt whp, but then again, with what I know, I may be spending all this time for 5whp more than a plug-n-play reflash for $$$ less. Now I'm not discounting the potential of Kpro because I know it's an awesome tool and becomes a necessity for more serious K-modding, but for those of us who plan on staying on the mild side of modding and don't really want to spend $500-600 for an all out day's worth of dyno tuning, do you think one could feel the difference between the Kpro and Reflash? There are some minor known annoyances with the '05-06 Kpro (low RPM lurching, speedo, and cruise control) which probably become more annoying when you're not actually taking advantage of its full potential.

I've been trying to compare the two dyno runs you've got on your site for the reflash and Kpro on an '05 and from what I can tell, the gains are quite similar for the car with just a CAI. Obviously they're probably two different cars on different days, but it seems like there are areas where the reflash was stronger and vice versa.

You'll make more power with krpo vs. reflash... that's if you have it tune correctly. Every car behaves differently with differnt mods, the reflash was meant for a "one flash fits all", so the reflash won't be as aggressive as it would be if you tuned it for your car. If you tune it on a dyno properly instead of a street tune you'll find out what cam angles works best for your application; therefore making the most power out of the calibration.

Low RPM is a tuning issue and not a bug. one car may make better power than another with the same reflash, but a properly tuned K-Pro will almost always make as much if not more power than the reflash.

It's actually seems like off-coast lurching. If I have my foot off the gas and ever so lightly put my foot back on the gas so that the TPS reads 3-4, the car shutters like someone is rearending me. It's less noticable at higher speeds in higher gears. Most noticable in 1st and 2nd when the ECU is in the 1-2 columns. What causes this? Too much fuel/timing in the 3-6 col tables?
