Hondata

Hi all. Recently purchased a K-Pro along with the USB lead, and the Hondata disc. I'm slowly looking around it, and working my way towards become more knowledgeable with the software.

The ECU I purchased, came off another car - Honda dealth with the key-coding issues. On installation, I could not upload one of the standard maps onto the ECU, as that particular map, had been locked by the mapper.

I cleared the security setting, (if you do not know what your doing do not etc etc) ..

I cleared this, because I do not need that map on the car as mine is not running forced induction. I am aware this erases the map, but I do not think it has any ill effects onto the ECU.

I have then, gone to upload a new map, RSX - Coldair/Civic Factory/Civic tuned .... along with the rest, it then goes to upload these maps, and just before it finishes uploading... I get an error

'Error'
Upload failed

I have searched this forum for a few days now, as I'm becoming more interested, but have failed to have come across this before.

Problem now solved. It was a simple case of uploading the new software provided on the front page. Then turning off the OBDII port.
