Parameters/Nitrous Settings

Hello,

This is my first post and hopefully my last. I am no more than an IT guy (networking). A friend of mine is having issues connecting the hondata to a laptop. After several hours of messing with the computer he gave up and called me. I came down and within minutes I get the hondata to connect to the software (com port issue)

Anyway, I know nothing about cars (I drive a 94 Toyota Camry with 281,000 miles). I would like to continue to help this friend out considering he has helped me out in the past.

I understand how these forums work and how being a noob can get you into a lot of trouble since I belong to many computer/networking forums myself.

Now getting to the point, I was able to sync the computer to the hondata device and was able to get RPM readings and error codes but he is trying to get into the parameter settings but nothing is highlighted. I have messed with the program for nearly 30 mins and with negative results.

Is there something I need to enable before I can unlock these settings in the parameters?

Thank you,

Andrew

First we'll need to know what kind of system your friend has. It will be either a s100,s200 or s300.

Next tell us what software you're using, and how you are loading the calibration/rom.

I'm sorry I failed to mention. It is a S200 Hondata unit.

I have installed RomEditor4 (or maybe something simular but there is a #4 somewhere in the name)

I have absolutely no idea what calibration/rom you are talking about. Is there another file or software I need? Please advise.

Thank you

Does he have the ability to burn chips with a eeprom programmer? Did he purchase Romeditor 4? What is the serial number of his s200?
