P30 Problems

I have a EG coupe with a SIRII botom, built head (US I think) and JDM P30. When we first installed the motor, we tried using the JDM P30 (NO HONDATA) and it ran like crap. The ECU kept throwing Code 14 IACV so we ended up using my old US P30 (NO HONDATA) with no codes.

I sent the JDM P30 to have Hondata installed, got it back, plugged it in for the tune, and Code 14 IACV. The car is underivable at partial throttle. My tuner says its a wiring issue but there were no codes wit the US P30. I believe its an ECU problem (maybe an OBD0 or something) rather then a IACV or wiring.

Should I have the wiring checked out or have the Hondata removed from the JDM P30 and installed into the US P30 and run that. I'm leaning toward the reinstall into the US.

Please help!! All knowledge is accepted and appreciated.

based on your testing you had already determined that there was a problem with the JDM p30, and it should not have been used. You will need to use the working US P30 and have it socketed for use with the Hondata.

O.k, thanks for your help. My ? now is, is it possible that I can have the hardware uninstalled from the JDM and placed into the US?

If so, how much would that run me if I sent both to you?

Thanks again.

No, you should not try to remove the components from one ecu and transfer them. The latch is different and will not work. You will need to either purchase another socketing kit, or pay to have the ecu socketed.

Thanks so much for your help.

Last ?. Do I need to go through my tuner to have the hardware installed in the US, or can I send it to you myself? I'd prefer to send it myself so I can pay and send it out today.

Thanks again.
