Lambda only reading within limits

Hi again,

I cant seem to find where in the software the lambda display limits are set.

Is there an option to change these limits?

They are set to 10-20 in the Sensors AF settings but only seem to be reading between 11.95-18.2 AF.

Thanks

Double click on the sensor you want to change in the sensor list.

It is set to 10 - 20. and i can still only display 11.95-18.1

Have you got the wideband wired into the ELD input? What sort of wideband is it? What settings do you have under Settings->Wideband Lambda.

I belive that the output voltage from the wideband is limited from 1.38V to 4.45V

Its a AEM Uego, im using the PLX setting with a -0.39v offset. Follows the AEM perfectly within the limits. Wired to ELD

I think i changed these to 12-18 a few days ago, but then changed back and have uploaded since. Could this be a bug?

The settings have nothing to do with the calibration. The sensor display information is stored in the software. Make sure you double check your sensor settings in the sensor list.

Right, i have even tried reinstalling hondata and leaving them set at 10-20. STILL wont read below 11.95-18.1, Yet it reads correct on the AEM.

Hondata - Is there anything that can be done about this?

I tested the ELD input on the bench and it reads perfectly using the PLX settings from 10.0 to about 19.8 without any problems (limiting factor is the bench itself). The ecu is capable of reading these values.

So the AEM is the limiting factor then? Even though the AEM display reads correct maybe the output to the ECU has a limited range. Ill email AEM.

Thanks

Anyone else using an AEM ?

The AEM has a 0-5v output, the chart can be seen on the instructions from here: http://forum.aempower.com/forum/index.p ... 214.0.html

I will test the voltage from 11:1 - 12.5:1.

If the voltage is changing correctly then there must be something with my Hondata settings. Ill report back.

I have checked the voltages at the ELD input, with the wire from the WB connected the voltage wont drop below 1.4v. But without connecting to the ELD input, the output reads correctly right down to near 0v.

I have 4.8v at D10 when nothing is connected.

The AEM is functioning correctly, there is only an issue when the output is connected to ELD input on ecu.
The ELD wire is cut. ELD is disabled.

Everything else functioning correctly.

Remove resistors R136 and R138 on the ECU. Dont't touch R137.

What are these resistors and why am i having to do this? Is this correct for all obd1 ecu's? I dont much like the idea of cutting resistors out of the ecu if i can help it, there are alot of stories about people frying boards.

Should i just connect it to the O2 pin instead? The AEM doesnt have a narrowband output and i will be running open loop, so the o2 input wont be used.

They are pull-up/pull-down resistors located near the connectors. Just get some fine cutters and cut one end of the resistor, then pull it so that it is standing straight up. If you need to return the ECU to stock, bend the resistor back down and apply a spot of solder. This is correct for all US OBDI ECUs.

Pins cut, Problem solved.

Thank you very much.
