Mounting IAT sensor after supercharger...

Hi Hondata gang. Sonny here again. It's been a long time but here it goes. What OBD I IAT sensor would I put in the location for the JRSC and where do the wires go to measure boost temps? Starting my aftercooler this weekend and would like to do some initial testing to measure the effectiveness of the design. How would K-Pro "see" the temp and compensate or is it just visual? Thanks again.

It is not an OBD1 sensor. Any Integra intake temp sensor will work. Have you looked at the temp compensation tables in Kmanager?

Yes I have. Does the temp compensation account for the 15psi of unintercooled boost that I shooting down the intake runners? I only ask because when I have the JRSC off this weekend to take final measurements and mock up the aftercooler, I wanted to add the temp sensor and wire it in.

The purpose of the IAT compensation is to allow you to use the IAT readings to allow the ecu to add or subtract fuel whichever the case may be based on how the IAT compenstaion tables are setup. If you look at a supercharged basemap you will see how they are setup to remove fuel as the intake temps rise.

I have been playing with K-Pro for a long time and I understand all of that. My question is how do I wire in an additional IAT sensor after the rotors on the supercharger. JR machined a fitting into the manifold to accept a temp sensor. What type of sensor and where in the wiring harness or the ECU would I plug it in? Not trying to be difficult. I searched here, clubrsx, k20a.org, google, etc... There is no clear definition on this issue.

All intake temperatue sensors for fuel injected Hondas are the same electrically - so any one which will fit. There are two wires to the IAT which are unpolarized.

So, the IAT that is in the intake pipe pre Throttle Body is wired to be read by the ECU. When I mount the second IAT in the supercharger manifold and wire it into the ECU, do I tap it into the Primary IAT sensor and then the ECU sees IAT 1 and IAT 2? Maybe I am missing something. Do I get rid of the intake IAT sensor and just use the one in the JRSC manifold?

You sre simply moving the IAT from the stock location to the location on the manifold. To do this you must use an Integra IAT sensor. Unplug your IAT sensor, cut off the plug end and use the correct plug for the integra sensor (can be found in a junk yard), mount the integra IAT sensor, plug in the newly attached plug to the integra sensor.

Thank you. That was the part that was unclear.
