Engine Noise? Or Real Knock?

Basically got a fully sleeved and built 2.0L ITR motor yadda yadda. The problem I am having is I keep picking up .72V of knock from 8-10psi range. Doesn't matter on gear or rpm. Only that load range. When it reads that much knock, it'll vary from retarding 6-11* in which it'll completely bog the car down until it passes that load range. I've tried to lower my water injection to come on at 5psi to see if it would help. No dice. I then retarded those areas by 5*. No help. same thing. I then ADVANCED 5* in those areas and still the same .72V knock and pulling 6-11* of timing back. Only up side of adding 5* timnig was it didn't bog as bad because it had more timing after 6* degrees is taken away then the other tunes obviously. Now I'm not sure what's up. I don't know if it's real knock, or just general engine noise. It happens 90% of the times. I don't want to have to add 10* of timnig in those areas to makeup for the loss incase that 10% chance it does run fine and no knoc, it'll actually get severe knock from that mad timnig advance. Any help would be appreciated. If there was a way to control the knock sensor and disable it for anything under X load and X rpm that would be IDEAL... Maybe for next release?

If you have forged pistons, you will need to disable the knock sensor as it will be hearing piston slap.

There is the J&S Safeguard and there are other aftermarket knock monitoring devices that allow you to actually listen through headphones to hear the knock.
