kpro and adjustable exhaust cam gear

I am wondering what kind of changes Kpro should see if say an adjustable exhaust cam gear has been retarded by 2-3 marks (4-6 degrees?)

1. Can I still run full vtc cam angles at 50 degrees? or should I be running at 46 degrees?
2. Roundabout 4-6 degrees of ignition timing should be added to both low/high cam maps to make up the 'loss'
3. Do I have to Disable P0341 error (camshaft range/performance)?
4. Anything else I am missing?

TIA!

1. It depends on the cam. Stock cams should be fine, K2s will be close to touching at 6 degrees. You need to measure the clearance. This requires engine disassembly, locking VTEC on, locking the intake to full advance, and then measuring valve/valve with a feeler gauge.
2. Not necessary. Ignition timing will be the same.
3. If you ever have to disable P0341 then either the cam timing is wrong, the cam has not been made correctly or the drive pin is broken.

I am on Skunk2 Stg2 cams and exhaust cam gear retard 5 marks (10 degrees)

does it mean then that my max cam angle should only be 40 ?

can i still play with cam angles of 45 or even 50 ??

Ask the cam manufacturer. The only accurate way to determine the maximum cam angles is to measure them.

Do what Hondata says and also make sure you measure your v/v and v/p clearances at 50 degrees.
