itb's in 89 civic

Post by 89jdmef9 »

i got a good deal on itbs for my b20 and the kid wants my manifold and 65mm throttle body for his itb's there's nothing wrong with the itbs he's complaing about gas being wasted and has a stock fuel rail and regultor so he wants to trade. so i guess my question is if you put itb's in a 89 civic if you need a new throttle cable with the new set up on the itb's ? and if i can use a afc to get by till i get the money todo the obd 1 set up and get the hondata stand alone? or any other suguestions

Honestly you will be much better off keeping your manifold and not trading for the ITBs. ITBs are really only for full race vehicles that are only driven at wide open throttle on the track.

I second to that..show-wise, you got the racecar look which says your tops in the allmotor scene.that's about it..stay with the essentials if you're hitting the street on a daily basis..
