JRSC Race Reflash - Check engine light and OBDII errors

Post by Rames DC5 »

Car: RSX Type-S
Year: 2002
JRSC Race Kit
Stock Header
Stock Catalytic Converter
Stock Exhaust

I have the JRSC race reflash and I am getting engine codes:

P0141 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2

Catalyst - Not Ready
Evaporative System - Not Ready
Oxygen Sensor - Not Ready

I've had a check engine light on ever since I had the computer reflashed. I was told by Jackson Racing that it would be on because the reflash put the secondary O2 Sensor in a loop. In talking with Matt at Hondata, the reflash never does such a thing. The reflash should not produce a check engine light.

I need to be able to pass the OBDII test for Missouri emissions. What can I do?

You may have a faulty O2 sensor, try swapping it with a known good one. It is also possible that your 02 sensor was damaged when the supercharger was installed.

I fixed the engine light. Faulty wire harness to the ECU.

But I'm still displaying the same engine code on the OBDII test.

Catalyst - Not Ready
Evaporative System - Not Ready
Oxygen Sensor - Not Ready

I took the car to the emissions station directly after replacing the harness.

How long do I need to drive it around for it to fully reset the codes?

Should I not pull the ECU fuse for 15 sec to reset it?

Thanks
Dan

It takes time for the readiness codes to set themselves. You will have to go through severeal cold start driving cycles.

So should a week of driving it be good? Starting it up twice a day, too and from work?

Thanks

The only way to check it is with a scan tool.
