k24a2 Kpro Calibration

Is the calibration that comes with KPRO the same as the reflash or closer to stock? If it's closer to stock, can you provide one similar to the reflash?

I just finished a K24a2 swap into my 02 Civic Si.

Thanks.

Closest to the reflash.

A couple questions then.

1. Why does the cam angle reach 30 degrees in parts of the calibration? I though the K24A2 was limited to 25?
2. Part throttle cam seems to be on the low side. Would this engine benefit from higher cam angles in part throttle?

Thanks!

If the maximum cam advance is 25 degrees, often you can get another few degrees by vorcing it to the mechanical stop - so 30 degrees might give 27 degrees or so, which is often better than 25 degrees.

Part throttle wants relatively retarded cam angles - around 10-20 degress typically.

Interesting.

Thanks for the information!

Will Hondata be releasing a revised, more tuned version of the k24a2 calibration? The closed loop STFT is all over the place. If this is similar to the re-flash is it also this far out in closed loop?

The calibration we provide for the K24A2 was tuned for the particular vehicle we used for development. If your vehicle is not exactly the same, then some re-tuning will be required.

I understand but I only have Intake, Shorty Header and Exhaust and it seems that closed loop and idle shouldn't be correcting 10-20%.... I would assume the reflash would take those mods into account.

Interestingly, I did a cut and past of the fuel maps from the k20a2 310cc TODA calibration and it's much closer. Very smooth and linear power delivery.
