I have been hsving a problem with my s300. Last year it worked perfect, the car sat all winter for rebuild and i started having problems with it after i got running again.

i would try to start the car and the red light would be on causing the car to be hard to start. But when i plug the USB cable into the Ecu it will go to green and the car will start right up, but when i unplug it the car throws a check engine light and runs like crap again.

What could be the problem? The socketing is fine, a friend did it, then i sent it to hondata becasue of problems that was 2 years ago.

Also i took the board off ecu and the soliders look good still on the back of te s300!

have you tried updating your S300 software and then reloading the calibration?

Was the problem present before the firmware update?

If it was after the update, perhaps you need to reinstall the firmware in case there was an error or corrupted file during the install. I saw a thread with someone having that problem.

No it wasnt present before the firmware update, but i have used 3 laptops in my car and each one keep updating the firmware when i first connect it too the laptop and s300. After i updated the firmware , i took the car to get tuned and we where having the same problem so i had too tune on a borrowed s300.

its funny becasue sometimes when i plug the cable in, i have to wiggle it a little and it clicks off and goes green, but we looked inside and everything is fine

Try this, it worked for someone else

After i downloaded the new version of the Hondata software, before i could load a new map it stated that the Firm ware need to be up dated, so i would let it up date.
Then i loaded my map on there, in the other 3 s300 i have used i didnt have any problems updating the firmware or anything, i did it the same way.

How much does hondata charge to look at it?
