Anti-theft features...

Post by kornsined »

Are there any anti-theft features being added to kmanager/kpro in the future? Maybe password protect calibrations so it can't be overwritten. Anyone else interested?

That password would also have to include set and clear security, otherwise someone would just erase the ECU and upload their own cal.

The protect ECU command stops the calibration from being altered or read until the Erase ECU command is used.

I guess that would work unless someone had their hands on the uploaded calibration.

When you erase the ecu what are you left with? would the car even start? default calibration. Either way, if something got uploaded the with the wrong calibration the engine wouldn't get far. Ex. boost on a stock cal.
