Ignition retard in K Pro

Post by Redliner »

I have this setup in my car:

-Cams IPS K2.
-dual valve spring Crower and titanium retainers
-chain tensioner Toda Racing
-TWM ITB 52mm setup
-Toda Racing header and Supersprint catback
-Hondata K Pro with PRB ECU
-headgasket Hondata

Engine K20A2

The car is idles good, but the power on the dyno shows 160hp, but before TWM I had about 240hp.

Throttle response is not good at idle and engine rev up not really fast. It seems like ECU is retarding the ignition by 10-12 degrees, but we cannot find where and why?

sounds like your cams are not lined up correctly.

What do you mean? We have not touched the camshafts. We only put on the ITBs.

Sounds like your alpha-n settings are wrong and it thinks the engine is far more loaded than it is perhaps? What base map did you use? Does this itb setup have a vacuum manifold on one cylinder?

Well may be, the MAP sensor is placed like here:

and has not got any vacuum manifold, but it reads fine (some mods has been taken), also I have used MAP based calibration, but nothing changes.

As a start calibration I've tried all Hondata's ITB's calibration and my own which I used with the RBC manifold - nothing happens.

You seem to be running very rich above 6500 rpm, is that by design? I noticed that all of your high speed ignition tables are identical, is that also by design?

I have datalog with AF ratio @ 13.5:1 - no bid difference though. about the ignition - this comes with hondata calibration for ITBs
