I have the ECU and the Hondata box mounted in such a way that I could always see the LED if I look at an angle from the driver's seat. Everytime I drive, the light is always on.
The other day, I pushed my car, and my VTEC did not kick in. I looked over at the Hondata box, and the LED was flashing. Everytime I drive now, the LED usually stays on when I first start the car, but it starts to blink as soon as I leave the parking lot. Again, I have no VTEC!
The VTEC solenoid works fine. I made sure there was adequate amount of motor oil in my engine, and even used a multi-meter to make sure the wires from the ECU to the VTEC is all funtional.
So I put in a stock P72 ECU, and VTEC works fine.
What does it mean when the LED works, but then starts to flash as soon before I hit the mid-range RPMs?
