ELD w/s300

Hey guys. I have the s300 which I have been running for the last year and I love it. I have just recently purchased a lc-1 w/xt-16 gauge. My question is when I run the wideband signal through the eld wire to the ecu,
do I wire it permanently or make it so I can hook the eld back up when not tuning? How will the car run with the eld not hooked up? will it idle bad when the headlights are on or any other electrical load?
