Chip is'nt reading

Post by biotech0123 »

Its been about 2 weeks now that my hatch has been down. I posted thinking that my interface box had crapped out here http://www.hondata.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6048 After getting another chip burned from one of the dealers here they told me that this may work being that the chip that had been in my car for almost a year was not reading. So I get the new chip put in with my settings on it and return home. After installing the ECU the car started up fine like nothing ever happen to it several times on restarting it. So I decied to go for a ride to see if it does the samething described in the post above, and it does. For some odd reason the chips are I guess being erased causing the same symptoms in the first post. What could be the cause of this? Im ruling this toward the ECU cause the interface box is flashing when the car is bearly running so I figuring that its fine. I dont really have access to another ECU without buying one so I need some knowledge on this to help me make the move to get a chipped one from you guys hoping that this cancer of a problem will disapear. I hope Spunksters right about what he said so I can drive my car sometime soon..

If the interface box is flashing then there is a problem with the chip or with the soldering of the ecu.
