K20A3 in an ep3 w/ AEM V2, DC shorty, Megan test, GReddy Evo2 exhaust.

took my car to a guy to get dyno tuned. he set up an strange upper boundary, similar to that of an A2 motor.

I'm concerned, as the A3 has no "upper vtec" to speak of. It's all economy vtec.

can someone look at this and tell me if my motor is going to burn up or something?

here is my dyno sheet:

and attached is the kal my tuner provided.

thanks for help in advance.[/img]

Change the VTEC upper boundary to the same as the lower boundary (2000 rpm). It will not damage the engine, but it might affect economy.

the question is will leaving the upper boundary high hurt anything.

i've been searching to see if keeping it set differently than lower boundary will hurt anything, but didn't come up w/ anything. i set it up for economy w/ the higher vtec setting to not be in vtec while cruising like on other vtec engines.

admin what's your take on this? if there is something new for me to learn regarding vtec on the a3 and having it set the same for lower and upper i'm all ears.

Since the A3 engine has an economy vtec, you should probably set both to the low point. There absolutely no benefit of leaving the high vtec poin for the upper boundry.
