I have a 03 Integra Type iS, Automatic PND ECU. When using the sport shift and in 4th gear the speed cuts out at 180 kph at aproximately 5300 Rpm. When I shift to 5th gear it however goes over 180 kph but accelerates very slowly. How or what application can I use to remove the top speed limiter. I was considering the s100 but it says not for automatic transmissions.

For K-series engines, we only offer the K-Pro and reflash, but since your car is automatic and non-US, we do not offer anything for this vehicle.

I find it funny that when Hondata started in New Zealand, they only offered products for Non-US cars. Now that they've taken the boat over to the US, they don't want anything to do with their past. :)

I'm just stirring the pot, I could care less about non-US applications.

NZ has JDM vehicles and ECUs, so we developed what was locally available. Now we cover JDM, US and some European ECUs. We cannot cover ever market variant for an ECU, but in most cases an US or JDM can be swapped in. Automatics are out of luck. I think the car won't go over 180 kph because it can't.

I wonder if Hondata will support automagic ecu's when Doug and Derr-Bear get old an fragile, and can't drive manual transmissions cars due to their arthritis? :)

I wonder if that site admin person is really from Hondata, because I had highly regarded these guys. But that last response seemed a bit dum and unlearnt. If you read the first post you will realise that it actually does. Are you really trying to help?

I'll elaborate. I think you're torque limited. Take the engine torque curve and gearing, calculate torque to the wheels at that speed. Calculate the front area and measure the drag, then see what acceleration you get in 4th and 5th at that speed / rpm. My guess was that it has a higher top speed in 5th than 4th because it has more torque to the wheels in 5th than 4th at that speed.
