Overheated O2 sensor

Post by EMk20a2 »

I am running Kpro on a K20a2 with intake and race header. I am showing an Overheated O2 sensor code. Any ideas as to why and how to fix it?

P1166 I just have read that it is a common error code, so where do I start to fix it? And what is it doing to the performance of my car if I do not fix it? I mean I hav ran the car for a while now with this code and it seems fine??

Your sensor is either bad, or you have a wiring problem. Follow the Helms manual for troubleshooting this error.

I used the Hasport Harness and it did not come on for a long while after driving. I am guessing one of the fuses that you jump to for the harness or the sensor is bad. I would think that if it were another wiring issue it would have been a problem from the start.
