cold engine parameters

Post by crackerjack »

Hondata, a couple of question. I lived at an altitute of 3500 feet above sea level.

Does the barometer sensor automatically conpensate KPA for me already or do I need to adjust things like Maximum map for closed loop and I usually find that the reading from the map is different from the reading off a digital boost gauge.

I know there is difference between the two but the vacuum is way off, the gauge is reading 15 inch of vacuum while the map sensor is reading 23 inch of vacuum.

It is also cold up here, so at what coolant temperature does the Kpro switch from 0 degree map to the normal map?

this is for a 2003 RSX-S supercharged.

thankx

You will need the lower the switch point from closed to open loop, but the ECU will switch over anyhow at full throttle. 75 kPA should work.

Mechanical boost gauges do not use a vacuum reference cell, and so are not accurate at anything other than standard atmospheric pressure. The MAP has a vacuum reference (hence the 'absolute' part of the name), and will read the true pressure.

As far as I know the VTC is not disabled below a certain termpature.

thanks for the quick reply. I will try 75KPA for max closed loop.
