Wiring AC Switch to Clutch Switch

I'm confused as how to wire the ac switch to the clutch switch to be used for launch control. The clutch switch has two wires off the top of it a black one and a blue/black one. If found the AC switch wire off the ecu and have cut it to wire it to the clutch switch. I spliced into the blue/black wire and connected it to the ac switch.
For some reason the ac switch is reading as always on if the pedal is pushed in or not. Am I wiring this correctly?
Thanks

After searching around I think I understand it a little better. My only question now is do I lose the function of the clutch switch that I use.
I would use the cruise control switch on the clutch and clip one side of it and connect it to the input. Correct?
Thanks

Well I ended up clipping one side of the cruise control clutch switch and connecting it to the ac switch wire coming off of the ecu side connector. The cruise control switch now longer has its original function, but the brake can still be used to disable cruise control.
The wiring looks like this:
Ground --------- [clutch switch] ---------------------- AC Switch Input
I had to also invert the input. I hope this helps.

Did that wiring job I told you about work?? You just have to splice a wire into the one coming off of the clutch switch on the pedal and then run that to one of the usable input pins in Hondata.
