Big power loss on quick shifts.

Post by deafy »

When i race, i usually shift REAL quick... which is a habit of mine. Everytime i do, it gets REAL rich... like it'll be around 11-12 AFR at red line right before i shift, then after i shift, the car lurches forward, reading 8:1 AFR, then it steadies out and vtec engagement is unusually delayed for about 1000 rpm after activation RPM. I have a 97 prelude H22 stock with CAI and exhaust. Last question, the h22 calibration originally had the VTEC oil pressure switch "unchecked"... should it be checked or not?

Calibration? Datalog?

If you have the VTEC oil pressure switch, then you can enable the VTEC oil pressure check in the software.

My question about the vtec oil pressure switch is what difference does it make to have it on or off?

It doesn't matter if you use VTEC pressure.
