couple questions about hondata = boost + nitrous

Post by dafuzzbudd »

ive read through the hondata.com site
1.) it isnt clear where you get a boost solenoid/ where is it installed
2.) what are these "compontents" that need to be added to the ecu
3.) so a high boost button can be done? http://hondata.net/forum/viewtopic.php? ... t+control"
4.) with nitrous control, ecu will manage injecters eliminating the need for a wet system, right?
5.) does aem wideband have a compatability problem? and does the plug have to be modified?

thanks to anyone for even a partial answer

thank you for answers and the diagram is very helpful.

the boost solenoid, im taking it these are not honda specific.
what's a good make to get?

aem seems to be the most popular wideband. while searching wether it was compatable with hondata i found people with some problems. does the reading output on the aem plug directly into hondata. i read you have to adjust the voltage reading. other than that should it work fine or should i go with a different brand?

under important notes in smanager help:
Do not exceed the stock MAP sensor's pressure range (approx 10.5 lbs).

does these mean dont use over 10.5lbs of boost?

The solenoid is a GM solenoid, the part number is listed in the help file. We recommend using teh PLX wideband ( www.plxdevices.com ). THat warnign about the map sensor is becuase the stock map sensor cna only read to about 10 psi. You will need to get a 3 or 5 bar map sensor to boost above that level.
