I am getting the Code 41-1 DTC P1166 Kpro. It was working just fine then I changed a calibration and it stopped working. Since I never drive my car and I have had Kpro for less than 2000 miles. I would think there is nothing wrong with the ECU. No changes have been made to the electrical system only uploading the cal file. I get the error and my primary O2 is not doing anything only showing 10.7 airflow.

What could be happening?

Someone on CLUBRSX said that it was a failure of the fuel circuit and he had to replace his ECU and had to pay to get it coverted back to Kpro. Yet, I find it hard to believe that uploading a cal file will blow my fuel circuit, but maybe something in the program or upload turned it off or wacked it out. I have tested everything in my car as far as wiring up to replacinng the O2 sensor twice and still nothing.

My mods: 02 Type S JRSC, 650 cc, 11 PSI, Kpro, and mileage on the car 13500. Less than 2000 miles using Kpro and less than 50 miles since the problem started after loading a cal file.

Please let me know an answer because I need to get it inspected soon!

Clear security and re-upload the calibration.

The most common cause of P1166 is excessive exhaust vibration damaging the o2 sensor, followed by incorrect wiring burning out the ECU o2 heater drive circuit.

They died when I gutted my cat back in 02.

What do you mean 'they died when I gutted the cat?' If the o2 sensors fail back then the question would then be why did they fail, and has the original problem been fixed?

I'm guessing blunt force trauma with a long "poking device" to hollow out the catalyst element from the cat if the primary stopped working.

The O2 sensor did not fail but the preheaters died after I gutted the cat.

The 02 sensor stopped working after I loaded the cal file. Remember it was working less than 50 miles ago and I had the car inspected with no check engine light. Now I can't set readiness.

Why did the heaters fail? Do they work now? The o2 sensor will not work if the heaters do not.

Well no they have been working I had a code about the preheaters way back when and the 02 has worked fine. The secondary is fully fuctional and I can read the voltage in Kpro. Primary worked fine until the cal even though I had a code for the preheaters. The preheater I can only image was damaged having a hollowed cat and or raceheader. Remember I have two good 02 sensors at the moment that do not read anything either.

Are you sure that the sensors you have that you say are good are the right kidn of sensor? What is the part number on these sensors?

Same as stock, I purchased them both from the dealer. 02 Acura RSX Type S they both have the same part number. I don't have it with me at the moment or I could give you the PN.
