Does anyone feel that a file encryption in S300 maybe beneficial for security purposes? Or password protect the console incase the unit was stolen so another user cannot rip or use the existing map that is loaded in memory ?

ROM protection is always a good idea. I would love to see it on S300.

actually i?ve been thinking about that myself, that would be a great idea.

also already asked for the lean protection option like there is on the k-pro, but still no results on this request for the s300 :roll:

Reason is, The cars we have are very probable to get stolen etc.. I'd hate to see my car get stolen and next thing I know .. someone is making changes to my ECU.

Perhaps just an option to Password protect the unit.

Example.

Plug USB into ECU then to Laptop, Turnon laptop, open Smanager, Password challenge. Enter PW and off you go....
