someone help explain Launch control

Post by hatchblack »

is there anything that i can set this to that i wont lose my a/c and will be a true launch. and when i tried it, it doesnt stay at the exact rpm, it fluctuates... isnt it supposed to be solid?

and i have to wire things? i know what the clutch switch is but why isnt there just a clutch switch activation?

i know what launch control does but whats the best way for me to do it?

Your AC doesnt have to be on ,The fan can be off but the Ac button has to be pushed to the On postion ,and you can set it to 5mph so once the wheels move over 5mph it turns off, It will bounce rpms depending on what you set your activation to, and limiter setting

wire your clutch switch to any of the inputs you can spare.. for ex. I use the D6 VTP (VTEC pressure) pin as my clutch activation input for both launch control and full throttle shift... Since my car is non-VTEC, I'm not losing anything... hope this helps...

Why are you rewiring anything. The clutch switch is already wired in that way you have to press the clutch to start the thing. less it's a conversion from an automatic.

i dont know... i read something about it being wired up to something. i used it with the a/c switch but i want to be able to use the a/c in the summer. and i was wondering why it wouldnt stay a constant rpm when i set it.

the Honda ECU does NOT have a way to monitoring the clutch switch.... you have to wire the clutch switch into one of the inputs in Hondata to be able to use it....

i just gotta find out why my check engine light is on. i ran the jumper and it shows the ecu... i think. i dont remember. when i turn on the car it takes a second for the light to cut on. my bro can do a diagnostics and/or whatever hell do and find it, i just gotta make it over to his shop where hes got all the goodies

i think the bb2h22 or whatever dude explained it quite well about what to do to get it running right
