Tuning Trouble

Post by agamide »

I have a 1991 integra gs with 3/4 drag cams and a reprogramed ecu(other things as well) that I can not get tuned right. At about 5% throttle, it spikes to lean, and when I down shift it spikes to lean. Any ideas??? -Adam

I have tried adding more fuel but it still spikes. I don't know if a sensor somewhere is bad or if the ecu fuel maps are set to low, so that it tries to reset to a lower fuel to air ratio or what. What is a wide band?

a wideband oxygen sensor, it reads air:fuel ratio MUCH more accurately than a stock O2 sensor.

When you say reprogrammed ECU, do you mean it has a chip in it or do you have Hondata or another standalone/piggyback setup? Are you able to alter your fuel/ignition tables?

I had my ecu reprogramed by prospeed, and I have piggy back apexi safc. I have not tried a wide band yet, but when it spikes to lean, I can feel the power loss and my temperature goes up. -Adam
