problem with 1.2.0

downloaded and updated to 1.2.0 yesterday before going out for some street tuning. got my a/f to around 14.6-14.7 and the car felt really good in boost with a/f at 11.8. the problem comes when i switch to closed loop and restart the car.
after finishing the street tune i drive to my friends house. after makingn the final adjustments i save and upload before i leave. when i am leaving, i start the car and it hesitates to start. so i reupload the cal and the car still hesitates but starts. immedietaly the a/f jumps to 18-19 and the car is very weak. i switch back to open loop and the a/f is perfect. looking at the l trim in closed its at 2% and short doesnt vary by + or - 7%. weird thing is that when going into boost the a/f is perfect at 11.8 when in closed loop. but as soon as i get off the trottle pt a/f is pegged on the lean side. switch back to open and everything is back to normal.
when i got home i disconnected the battery, waited about 10min and reconnected it. uploaded the cal and everything seemed fine even in closed loop but it slowly rose to 17. i even uploaded a previous cal that i knew was good and same thing happened. everything worked flawlessly with the previous versions and i have not changed the way i upload and tune.
what could be the problem? any feedback would be appreciated. thanks.

just came back from some street tuning. i made a new basemap and tuned from there. everything works great closed loop and open. my conclusion is that the cal i was previously using somehow got corrupt :?: but anyway the car is running great with the new basemap. more street tuning to come.

alright well i've gone through this problem about 5-6 times now and have fun into a few new ones.
to the main problem i posted first, i've made a different basemap, tuned, and it ran great only to have it crap out the next time i turn the car on.
my new problem is that my a/f is reading much differently from open and closed when i tune. take part throttle for example. i will tune in open loop to the point where most cells in columns 2-6 are green with a +1 or -1. a/f would be 14.5-14.7. pretty good in open loop. once i turn it to closed the readings will fluctuate from 14.2 (sometimes even 13.xx) to 15.2. turn it back to open and its fine.
another problem is with idle. closed loop the idle is good at 900rpm. turn it into open and the idle is very lopy as if i have a big cam when i have stock gsr cams. it'll go from 900-2000 like i have a vacuum leak (checked and have none).
anyone else experience these problems or is it just my unit?

What AF gauge are you using to determine lambda, and what is the ECU using for an o2 sensor input? What does the short and long term fuel trims look like?

what wideband are you using and how exactly do you have it wired for wideband and narrowband?

i am using a plx m300. the narrowband is wired to the stock o2 wiring. it's not spliced in either. i cut the o2 signal and wired it directly to the ecu. the stock o2 wiring is seperated, taped, and zipped tied away from the ecu. the wideband is wired into the eld. in smanager the eld is disabled. both the smanager and plx show the same a/f.
in closed loop, the short fuel trim will vary from 0-10 and long term will be around 2. i've even tried to tune part throttle in closed loop by removing/adding the amount equal in the long term to the entire columns for 1-6 but it doesnt help much.
btw everytime i made a new basemap i tuned off of the b18c sc61 map that is included.
on a side note i've also noticed that the car runs better with the idle sitation almost fixed when i put the injectors to 440 even though im running rc550.

I got this same problem but im using the stock O2. Goes real lean at idle. Open loop runs perfect.

crucian: You have a different problem. Either the IAT sensor is getting too hot, or (more likely) the o2 sensor is not reading at low exhaust flow (age, dead heater, mounted too far downstream or contaminated).
jdmspecdc5: can you provide the calibration and datalog?

I'm having weird issues with closed vs. open loop as well. i can get the tune dead on in open loop, but it goes do crap when closed loop. Are the differences in IAT and ECT correction factors between closed and open potential causes?? I'll go double check to make sure my IAT and ECT sensors are in working order. I'll also double check with PLX to make sure the O2 sensor is good.

Make sure that your narrow band input wire is not grounding out or getting interference. I've seen it happen and it caused the car to run really rich. All it took was the narrowband wired getting crushed under the ecu.
