I just got done building my k24/k20 motor after my original k20 block decided to blow a hole in the side of itself :x
Anyways, I need to know what is a good "base" map to start from? Its a stock k24a1 block to a stock k20a2 head. With revhard mani, sc60, 3" turbo back (no cat), 750cc's, and a few other things.
Would it be best to use a k20a2 CN 9lb map or a k24 or what? What is going to be the big difference in tuning the k24 compared to the k20...more fuel, ignition, cam angle (less/more)?
I want to get ~350whp out of it....so maybe 10-11lbs boost. 93 octane.
Thanks.
K24a1/K20A2 turboed frank....Need a good base map
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the reason for that being the case is you want to start with a map as close to the combination of intake manifold and injector size/pattern, in that order, so your fuel curves are fairly close to begin with, only needing +/- a certian percentage globally to dial them in pretty good initially.Spunkster wrote:a supercharged calibration is not a good one to start with. You will be better off starting with a naturally aspirated calibration.
