Can ROM Editor read non-hondata chips?

I loaded a program from a Spoon chip I purchased into the Pocket Programmer and saved it to a .bin file. When I tried to load the file into ROM Editor, I get an error saying it is not a image file (#4).

Has anyone been able to read chips not burned by a Hondata System? Is there a special program that will let me see the tables from non-hondata chips?

Thanks!

Do you of another way to read non-hondata chips with the pocket programmer and some other Rom Editor?

I was originally running a chipped PM6 (spoon). When I switched to hondata, my times dropped from 13.9 to 14.6.

I would like to see the tables on the PM6 and compare them to the PR3 - that's why.

that's no good.. i too am interested in just seeing what was on the "chips" that i was using.

remember awhile back when hondata reviewed the mugen clone chip and they somehow were able to read other programs into romeditor to view them...

I'm curious too. Send me the file and let me try something.
