Launch Control as Speed Limiter??

Hi,
I'm new to Hondata S300j.
Fitted it on DC2 and plan to test and run them in track races..
I want to use the launch control as a pit lane speed limiter of 60km/h. I figured out on my current gear ratio, my 2nd gear at 4800rpm should just get me below 60km/h.
So i plan to wire the air-cond switch to trigger launch control, so every time i get into the pit entry, i can down shift to 2nd gear, switch on the launch control and then just flat out on my throttle and it should rev limit my car at 4800rpm to keep within pit lane speed limit.
Will this work or is there other ways i can use S300j for pit lane speed limiter? cause when i use it as speed limiter, i won't have launch control at the start of the race?
The other thing is, from pit entry to the pit for re-fuelling, i got to drive and hit rev-limiter the car for about 10sec to 15sec to reach my pit. Will holding the rev-limiter cut for 15 secs cause any many dammage to my race engines like severe engine bore wear or extreme high water temp rise or cylinder temp high??
Thanks.
Chris
