Problem with S200 chip, Bad soldering?

Post by NYCJDM_EG »

I have had problems with my car ever since the motor was boosted, it would stutter badly, i thought it was becuase it wasnt tuned, so i tuned it with inlinepro in VA. The problem came back, it would stutter the car at all RPM. I narrowed the problem to the ECU chip soldering, i would press it chip down and the stutter goes away, i would press down the solder on the other side of the chip and the stutter goes away. Should i buy a new p28 ECU and reintall the hondata? Also during my tuning it wouldn't rev past 7k, the tuner could not find the solution, any ideas what it my be, distributor???[/img]

Fix the known problem first - the socketing. It may just be a mater of re-soldering the socket in the existing ECU. If any tracks are broken or lifted then it would be better to use the new ECU.
