No lambda on B18C with ITB setup

Post by irtbnightmare »

I've just finished the install of an S300 on a 2000 Si with a P28 ECU w/ conversion harness running a TWM ITB setup. I can't get the car to idle correctly. At first it would only stay running with light throttle input. Then I remembered to change the injector size in the fuel trim setting under parameters (Duh!). After setting stock size to 240 and current to 310 the car would start right up but idle at around 1500 RPM for about 10 seconds and then sputter till it shut down. At this point I started playing around with the idle air control valve (I managed to plumb it into the system on a vac reservoir connected to the common TB port on the side of the ITB) to try and get the ECU to control idle. No dice. Car wouldn't idle by itself. Today i went out to go ahead and get a datalog to post here and all the data comes up crazy on SManager. All the numbers are all over the place. But when it was working the day before the data seemed okay except that I was getting 0.0 on the lambda field in the display window and there were no lambda adjustments on the calibration I downloaded from the ECU. Yet I am getting .80V +/- .10 in the O2 field in the sensors window. I've read about setting the TPS to Alpha-n but since I have the MAP and idle air motor connected I figure I'm pretty much like stock so I don't necessarily need to do this right? Sorry for the horribly long post but this is driving me nuts.

P.S. I checked battery voltage and it was at 12.25V

Follow this guide first
If datalogging does not work it the ECU socketing.

With the MAP sensor you need much more fuel at idle (about 3-4 times as much) and this is probably why it will not idle. With ITBs you are best to switch to TPS based table lookup.
