Am I going Crazy ? Ignition Timing

Well,

Lets start by saying that I haven't started the car for about a few weeks. Last time that i started the car with datalogging on I had Display running and in the display read 16 degrees timing at idle. Thats what it should be according to the value I have input in the Cells for low cam timing(idle). Today I started the car and made some changes to my launch control which was fine.. clicked on the display tab and it was reading 19-20 degrees ???? From what I understand the ignition in the display should be reading what is in the cell(s) when datalogging is on .. Am I correct or is it reading what the distributor is set at? I know the display is reading 158 degrees for ECT.. but even while the motor was at normal operating temp. the timing still read 19-20 degrees..

Also one other quick question is that the value that you input for retard ignition timing for Launch Control do you include a hyphen (-) or can you just input the number I.E. -4 degrees or 4 degrees ?

Please advise.. I have attached a word document with screen prints.
Thanks for your help

** correction .. I guess you can't add .docs as an attachment ..

If that is true .. Something else is going on.. Perhaps a Ignitor problem, I checked the timing with a light and i'm reading 16 degrees

I could be wrong but im pretty sure, as long as the timing light is saying 16 and the map says 16 were its idleing i wouldnt worry about it unless its reading wrong though the whole map and datalogging wrong then im not sure whats wrong

There are corrections added to the base ignition timing - see the ECT and IAT ignition correction tables. The next version has an easier way to set the ignition timing (due out in the next two weeks).

when your driving is the display reading the same # as the map is showing?? keep the throttle at one spot and check and see if there equal if they are then dont worry about could just be off when it idleing

It says 'Retard Ignition x degees', so any positive value you enter will retard the ignition.
