cust brought in jrsc rsx type s today having issues...650cc inj w/ meth injection stock mapsensor. car was street-tuned by a shop from his home town and apparently was fine as left that shop.
he came in because car was having serious tip in issues going heavy on accelerator not rolling in lightly.
cust didn't have calibration file and downloading it from ecu always results in trouble so i had to use a basemap. used calibration file basemap for k20a2 jrsc 650cc inj 10psi as a start w/ same type of tip in issues. made a new basemap from stock k20a2 and added boost and 650cc inj. tuned idle and part throttle vac smoothly and no tip in issues anymore.
here is the problem...it keeps going lean in hicam and not making power. i've not taken it past 5k because it keeps leaning out no matter how much fuel i put in. tried adding fuel to all hicam tables at the same time w/o tuning individual vtc settings and also tried setting vtc to 30 deg and tried tuning that way too to no avail. i keep having to add more fuel than is necessary and it keeps leaning out.
map is mounted to a plug/bypass on the throttlebody that is getting boost reference from the manifold at near the rail and boost is confirmed via a boost gauge at the same place as well as the datalogs. i did discover his meth kit was tapped at a port between the throttle body and charger body that only gets vac confirmed by tapping gauge there too.
attached is one of the basemaps i was using before giving up tonight to try and clear my mind. i figure i'm just missing something simple that i'm overlooking.
this is not the first k series i've tuned by the way. any help would be greatly appreciated before wed am because i left the car on the dyno to get back to it early tomorrow morning.
i would attach pic of dyno sheet, but we-todd isn't supported here, but leans out slightly at 3.5k at vtec and then from 4.5k on it just continues to go lean making only 170whp at 5k at about 7-8psi.

I have a jrsc k20a2 rsx with methanol injection running at 9psi w/ 650cc injectors as well. The 650cc jrsc 10psi base map was *really* close for me. I have the walbro in tank fuel pump with factory regulator so I *may* be pushing a bit more fuel at high boost, but from my experience, a stock fuel pump should be very close at this power level and not causing your issue unless it's bad.
