problem-

car was tuned. everything was running great until this morning.
started car up...backed out of drive way...tried to accelerate, and car cut off at 3000 rpm's. check engine light came on. i could still drive it...but couldnt rev past 3000 rpm's.

then the car stalled. i noticed that when I pressed in the clutch...the idle would dip below 850 rpms...almost stall...then return to 850.

it was also the first time i drove the car in rainy conditions. (light misty rain)

this is all new to me...so Im not sure if i data loged it correctly.
I also down loaded the calibration while the car was running...not sure if that was a good idea or not.

shows an error code 4-1 po335 CRK sensor no signal.

any ideas?...car idle's funny.

The ECU is not getting a signal from the crank sensor. This is why it is putting the check engine light on and rev limiting to 3000 rpm.

You can reset the ECU by clearing security and re-uploading the calibration, but I don't think that is the cause. You need to trouble shoot the crank sensor.

Check the ECU connectors are plugged in securely and no pins have been pushed back into the connectors or bent. Do the same for the crank sensor. Check the wiring near the crank sensor for any damage (BTW the crank sensor is just behind the crank pulley). Clear errors on the ECU, and if the crank sensor error comes back then you're going to have to run through the trouble shooting procedure in the manual to test the wires.

I check the sensor...looks ok to me...unplugged it...plugged it back in.

reset the ecu...then uploaded the cal. back in.

car idled fine...went for a quick run.....then the error came back.

so i uploaded the stock cal. .....and now it seems to be running fine with no errors.

I may just take it to honda,..just incase.
