is it possible for us to use an aftermarket wideband O2 sensor with k-pr. i want to get rid of the stock one since its not entirely accurate, nor reads low enough.

The factory sensor is quite accurate from 11.5 and above... (to like 20:1 if I recall correctly).

Anything below 11.5 shows up as 11.5 or some lower number. I always lean things out in boost until the a/f curve is obviously not flatlined at 11.5 and starts to take shape. I leave my a/f curve average at 11.7.

You cannot use an aftermarket wideband with k-pro for CLOSED LOOP operation or DATALOGGING but you can obviously tune with somone elses wideband on a dyno. The factory wideband would still work fine for closed loop -- many people do this.

my point is i dont like playing the guessing game to see where the fuel is everytime i reduce/add fuel.

i never use the closed loop anyways, just want to know if the signal of the aftermarket O2 will/cant be read by the ECU....is there a denso O2 wideband, that reads lower than our stock one?

You cannot hook up an aftermarket wideband to k-pro. The oem wideband is a current based wideband as I understand it. I couldn't tell you about the denso option.

Razathorn first reply is correct.

i've found the stock sensor to not be as accurate as a true wideband. i tuned a k24 w/ jrsc and while the stock one read in the dataloggs never leaner than 12.5:1 it actually was reading as high as 13.5:1 on the dyno wideband that was mounted 2 inches from the stock one. i trust the 5wire dyno sensor more than i trust the 4wire stock one.

There have been quite a few tests of the factory honda sensor, showing it to be quite accurate. My guess is that the dyno wideband sensor has been exposed to a lot of race gas or oil and is reading leaner due to that. When was the last time it was checked against another wideband?

As you know a lot of us have a wideband interface. Is there a chance that hondata just integrates an ADC so we can also datalog these at the same time. Probably a lot of other people would be interested.
What do you think?

In the past, hondata has inquired if people would be willing to pay for such a feature. I don't think they're going to make it a standard part of k-pro. I imagine that's because for the vast majority of folks, the factory wideband works fine, so why increase the cost of k-pro for a few folks.

I'm not hondata, so I don't have the official answer obviously, but I seriously doubt that will happen without a large base of people willing to purchase an extra feature. Obviously, hondata has the final say in all of this, not me.

I think the cost is minimal.....but ok it is their call. I would like to buy such a system but without using my bosch wideband interface I can't use it.
