P06 Auto ECU, converting to Manual??

i have a P06 ECU that has been converted to VTEC and ready for Hondata which i bought from someone before they used it. i didn't realize that it was an Auto ECU so when i installed it in my Civic with 5 speed, code 19 came up and it idle surged as if there was a vacuum leak. other than that it worked great, just the code 19 thing.
i called Hondata and they told me that i could go on the site and find out how to switch it from Auto to Manual, but i haven't found it yet though i've looked. i guess i'm missing it somewhere.
can someone who knows about this or done this before give me a hand?
maybe show me a link or just tell me where to go to find the info?
thanks, i appreciate it.

then click on the download section
then d/l the hondata installation pdf file
it is in there

ok, cool that's exactly what i needed to know.
but i do have two more questions: what kind of jumper/resistor do i use to complete the circuit on RP18? do i use the resistor from RP17 or the new resistor that i got with the Hondata 2B package (the tan w/ black stripe) for RP18?
if i remember correctly Hondata told me to use the tan w/ black stripe resistor, but that was awhile ago.
thanks again, your info helped.

You can use a piece of wire or the tail from a resistor to do the jumper. If you happen to have any of the Honda jumpers (resistor tan colored with 1 single black stripe), you can use that as well.

ok, cool. that's what i was told before but i just wanted to be sure that i installed the correct jumper/resistor. i have the tan w/ black stripe resistor so i'll use that.
thanks

If you want to call that a resistor, thats fine but its not really. It just looks like one. It has 0 resistance.

Yep, resistance is read as follows:
Black = 0
Brown = 1
Red = 2
Orange = 3
Yellow = 4
Green = 5
Blue = 6
Violet = 7
Grey = 8
White = 9
Gold = (+/-)5%
Silver = (+/-)10%
The first two bands give you the mantissa, the third band gives you the exponent to base 10, and the fourth band gives you tolerance [last band either gold, silver, or not present, in which case tolerance is (+/-)20%].
For example, if you have a resistor with bands showing brown, black, red, gold, the resistance is 1000 OHM. Brown = 1, Black = 0 for 10 and red gives an exponent of 2 to base 10 so your resistance is 10 x 10^2 with a (+/-)5% tolerance.

thanks for the detailed info. sorry i called it a resistor.
i'm not highly knowledgeable when it comes to circuit board components and how they are classified etc. the explantions given helped me out.

Don't apologize. We're all here to learn and share knowledge. At least that's why I'm here.
